How to participate...theBizIdea competition is in place to support entrants willing to develop their idea and their entreprenurial skills into a real business plan. The competition is divided into two stages: Stage 1: From entry to submission
Stage 2: From finalist filming to awards evening
What happens after? If you are one of the winners, you will be sent a formal letter containing details of how to claim your cash and in-kind prizes. All the winners and runners-up are featured in a UWE press release about the competition and are also mentioned in internal UWE articles, case studies and publicity for the following year's competition. Combined with the film snippet, this represents a great start for any entrants who are interested in generating PR for their business/ideas. Unless there is a contractual agreement already in place (for instance through employment) or the business plan is to exploit the assets owed by the University, UWE claims no cut of such business plans or ideas.
