Motivational Workshop with Rob Law

Friday 4th December 2009, 15.00-16.00
Room 3C01, Frenchay Campus, BS16 1QY

Rob Law came up with the concept for Trunki, a range of 'ride-on' children's suitcases, in 1997 while still at university. The plastic cases are designed to allow youngsters to take their own bags on holiday - and to sit on them when they are tired.

In 2006 Rob appeared on the BBC's iconic television show Dragon's Den, and was given short shrift by the famously stern panel of investors. Since then, however, Trunki has become widely recognised as 'the one that got away' with two 'Dragons' admitting on national television that they missed out!

In this workshop Rob will recount his entrepreneurial journey, explaining how he developed his multi-award winning products and took them to market. He will also talk about the barriers he had to overcome in order to achieve the success he is experiencing today.
