Database rights

Collections of data or material (electronic or non-electronic) that are a result of substantial investment and are arranged in a way that items are individually accessible may be protected by database rights (in addition to copyright). The rights are automatic and last for a maximum of 15 years

Plant breeders’ rights

Plant breeders’ rights can be obtained for new plant varieties that have distinctness, stability, uniformity and novelty. These rights usually lasts for 25 years and must be applied for.
