Eligibility

Each Higher Education Institution (HEI) will be invited to nominate one entrant (team or individual) for each category by 30 July 2010. The business should not have been incorporated / trading full time for more than 2 years at the date of nomination for the competition.

For the category of 'Best Student Business Plan', entries are restricted to students of the participating HEIs who competed in the 09/10 business plan competition of the respective HEI or otherwise nominated by them. This category is effectively a business plan award involving any type of business or social enterprise. The team leader must be a registered full-time or part-time undergraduate or postgraduate student at one of the participating HEIs in the academic year prior to the closing date of the enterprise awards completition.

For 'Best Staff/Alumni Business Plan' entries are restricted to HEI staff and to alumni who were previously students of the participating HEIs within the last five years prior to the completion date of the enterprise awards competition. This category is also a business plan award involving any type of business or social enterprise.

For both categories, any company should not have been incorporated for more than two years prior to the closing date for entries. The team leader must be either a staff member or an alumnus of one of the participating HEIs.
