Research Support Service (RSS)

Our aim is to provide high quality University-wide support for staff involved in research and related activities, including:

• information on research funding opportunities, including access to and use of Research Professional
• support for the development of research proposals, including advice on funder requirements, liaison with funders and other useful data and information
• access to, and advice on, the Project Approval Support System (PASS)
• support for e-submission systems and processes for research proposals (e.g. Je-S, EPSS)
• a skills development programme and other events for early career research staff and research students
• advice and support on research ethics and governance
• advice on requirements of the Research Excellence Framework and other research policies
• research management information and bidding data
• liaison with Faculty Research Offices in the development and delivery of research support across the University
