Contracts
CompeteFor is the London 2012 website for Games related contract opportunities. It allows South West organisations, including any business, college or university, to compete for contract opportunities linked to the 2012 Games. It acts as a brokerage service between potential suppliers and buyers throughout the London 2012 supply chain.
Any organisation can register; it is free, and users are automatically matched with opportunities to apply for.
Forty-six organisations from the South West have so far won contracts from the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) and many more have won work supplying the ODA's contractors through the supply chain.
For example:
- Ecosulis from Bath, carried out the habitat survey at Eton Dorney, where the rowing events will take place in 2012
- BridgeZone based in Tiverton, won the contract to inspect and maintain the booms on the waterway leading into the Olympic Park
- TC Office Interiors from Bideford, won a contract to build and fit-out the temporary site offices for the contractor building the Athletes' Village
- Burdens Ltd from Bristol, are supplying kerb drainage units for the bridges and highways projects across the Olympic Park
